Replacement Of ALL Upper/Lower Teeth

For patients who do not have any teeth in the upper or lower jaw (edentulous) it is now possible to improve function with implants to either stabilise a mobile denture, or to have a fixed bridge so patients no longer need to wear a removeable plate. Not only does this improve chewing function for the patient but there are also enormous psychological benefits of having fixed teeth as opposed to wearing a removeable denture.

How many implants do we need for a full arch?

In the upper jaw, four to 6 implants are required. In the lower jaw, 4 implants are enough for a fixed bridge, and 2 implants for a removeable overdenture stabilized by implants.
