Dr Suma Sukumar is a fully qualified Oral Medicine Specialist. She completed her undergraduate training in Adelaide and completed her postgraduate specialist training in the field of Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology in Sydney.
Dr Sukumar is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and Staff Specialist in Oral Medicine at Westmead Center for Oral Health. She is the Clinical Lead of the Medically Complex Dental Service and is involved in clinical and academic teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate dental students as well as mentoring junior dentists in the dental management of complex medical patients and mucosal pathology.
Dr Sukumar is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. She is an invited Examiner for the RACDS examinations in Histology and Pathology for the Primary examination as well as Oral Medicine for the Final Section of the General Stream. Suma is a Fellow of the Oral Medicine Academy of Australasia.
