Hip Grafting

How is the hip grafting procedure done?

In this procedure, an incision is performed in the skin (approx. 5 cm) of the hip and bone is removed from the inner surface of the hip. This small bone defect will heal and regenerate with new bone after several months. The hip graft procedure requires approximately 2 to 3 weeks of recovery time due to discomfort in walking and lifting the leg.
