Masters Symposium on Facelift and Facial Rejuvenation, Australasian Association of Facial Plastic Surgery, ,September 2024
Dr Lydia Lim was invited to speak the Multi-disciplinary Masters Symposium of Facelifr and Facial Rejuvenation. Dr Lim was asked to speak on “Combined Bone and Soft Tissue Surgery” where she discussed the evidence on structural and skeletal atrophy with ageing and how ageing can unmask an underlying skeletal disproportion. Dr Lim showed how repositioning the underlying skeletal base of the face can enhance the soft tissue support of the face especially the midface, jawline, and chin resulting in natural and harmonious facial aesthetic outcomes. She discussed how to assess the face for facial disproportion and how orthognathic surgery can be a useful adjunct prior to a Face-lift, Rhinoplasty and Facial Rejuvenation surgery. Following her lecture, Dr Lim was invited to the Face-lift panel where she participated in the interactive discussion, debate and questions on controversial topics.
